I really liked the idea of having a cross between black and white as well as colour. I feel that it breaks up the video a bit allowing the audience to know the difference between past and present. I feel that this would be a good effect to use in our video to show and represent good from eveil by having good as colour and evil as black and white.

Inspiration from film
I really like the idea of having a handheld camera in our music video and this is because it gives a 'sense of place' for the audience, as well as allowing them to feel that they are apart of the experience. In this clip I really find most interesting the over the shoulder shot with the camera hand held, and I feel that in our music video, we could use this angle if we were to use a shot like this in a location such as Forty Hall with 'Lilith' looking through the window watching 'Adam and Eve' and seeing how happy they are which would lead the 'evil' to start seeping through the protagonist. This could represent the start of her bad side showing.
Brainstorming Ideas for our Music Video
Here I have brainstormed a few ideas for what we may include in our music video. It includes costumes we may have, colours they may be, props and a few camera angles
Target Audience
Our target audience would range between the ages of 14 to 18 years and this is because we feel that it is more appropriate as younger people would not listen to indie rock and rather would listen to more Pop and RnB, or more so what is in 'the charts' at the time. Moreover we don't necessarily feel adults would listen to this particular band however the genre may be more likely something people would listen to.
Digital Daggers Record label...
Digital Daggers is a band which conforms of two artists, who have been signed to EMI Music Publishing records label.
Who are EMI Music Publishing?
EMI Limited are a multinational music publishing company who are based in London, United Kingdom. It is owned by an association of companies who is led by Sony/ATV Music Publishing which forms part of the largest music publishing corporation in the world. They are a private company which was founded in 1974. EMI administers the publishing rights of over 1.3 million songs; including artists such as and only naming a few, The Black Eyed Peas, My Chemical Romance, Avicii, Avenged Sevenfold, Sean Paul and many more. Up until 2009, EMI Music Publishing had won the Music Week award for 'Publisher of the Year', ten years in a row!
Permission Request
Here is the permission request email we had sent, to use Digital Daggers' song 'Heaven or Hell' and this is due to copyright issues, therefore we have asked for permission from the producer Jason Smith. We are now awaiting a confirmation email back from him.

Inspirational Music Video
I really like this video by KPOP's Red Velvet "Happiness", because some of the editing in this video would be really fun to try and recreate in our music video such as the kaleidoscope section.
We thought as a group that trying to create this by editing in our music video would be a challenge that we would happily like to take on. I am very intrigued by the music video itself because there are aspects such as the kaleidoscopes and mirror effects that makes it more memorable; alongside it is also because it is more abstract and colourful therefore it gives off a happy vibe.

Behind the scenes....
Here are a few behind the scenes shots that reflect us working on developing our pitch and annotating a few ideas onto our lyrics print out.
Here are a few ideas that we have come up with and how we are going to portray them with a few camera angles, ideas on how we would do it and inspirational music video ideas.
Originally the song, was longer which totalled 4 minutes and 31 seconds which was too long so we have had to cut it down and the new time is 3 minutes 38 seconds; which is more appropriate as the majority of songs are this length.

The White Stripes - Hardest Button to Button
Inspirational Video: Editing
I really like the editing techniques used in this video, and i particularly like how when the beat hits the equipment becomes layered so there looks like there are loads of the same instruments. This conforms to Andrew Goodwin's theory of music videos as it adds an abstract theme to it. I feel this is very inspirational when it comes to thinking about editing in our music video and this is because we want to re create something similar as in the music video to this song, as the more prominent beats are heard the drummer moves a bit which is layered however with our music video, to Digital Daggers Heaven or Hell, we wanted to have us editing her when the beat is heard as she drops to her knees "come tear my walls down one by one" before the chorus kicks in.

Finally Making Up Our Minds!
Our group have finally, after spending time researching and choosing an appropriate song, have found one. We have decided to do Digital Daggers 'Heaven or Hell' and this is because our original song choice had such a powerful video, we thought it would be quite hard to create something up to that standard and as well as this, we also knew we were going to be heavily influenced by the video itself. Although the beat of the song is not as fast as the other choices, the steady tempo that this song has, could be an advantage as we could use the beat to our pleasure when it comes to editing. Furthermore, we have started thinking about ideas for our music video and we are still contemplating whether or not it is going to be 'mythological', and having the inner struggle between good and bad, which would relate to the lyrics well as there is this religious aspect to it.

Song Choice 3: Digital Daggers - Heaven or Hell
This song we all really enjoyed as we liked as a whole. Although its not as fast paced as the other songs, in terms of thinking of how we would perform our music video it certainly has sparked up a few ideas. However unlike our first choice's genre being more indie, Heaven or Hell is more electro-pop.

Florrie - Little White Lies
This song by Florrie is another group favourite. We all enjoyed the beat and tempo of the backing track. Although this song is more dance-pop, we quite like the way the pace picks up as the chorus kicks in. As well as this we thought the chorus was very catchy which would have been a bonus when creating a music video for it. Lastly, if we did decide to use this song, then we could have experimented with fast paced, possibly choppy, editing.

Song Choice 1: Aurora - Running with the Wolves
This song was our groups original song choice. However, although we all enjoyed this song very much as it was powerful, we decided not to choose it as it had a very powerful music video to it, created by the artist. Alongside this we all agreed and came to the conclusion, that as a group we would have been heavily influenced to create something similar; therefore we had changed our song choice. On the other hand there are some camera angles and shots that we would like to include in our own music videos.
