Taking inspiration

In our music video, we have decided to alternate between black and white and colour. The narrative of our video is in black and white, yet the "honest" side to our protagonist and how she feels is in colour. This can be related to A-ha's - Take on me music video.
I feel that our music video is relatable to theirs as our narrative shows that our protagonist is showing a side that she feels like she does not belong. Like in a-ha's video the narrative shows that she wants to be apart of this graphic novel, however ours differs slightly as our protagonist wants to be free from her hiding her true emotions.

Inspirational video

We have decided to keep certain shots from Years and Year's 'Take Shelter' because from our prelim experience of inserting shots taken from the first 30 seconds of the video, we thought it would be effect in our final product.

Filming during the half term

Today we had gone and filmed at Hilly Fields to finish getting the final shots for our music video. We were in luck as the weather was perfectly bright and sunny, although it was a bit deceptive as winds were present, however we went out and spent the entire day filming the shots we had to redo due to blurriness as well as gaining a few new shots in order for us to have more footage in case it need be. Having the extra footage, enabled us and provided us with a few extra camera angles if we needed to change things about in our video. We thought it would be wise to just record Nicole the entire time, even though we were not filming so we could capture some natural looking shots of her laughing...below is a little Vlog of our day out.

Behind the scenes editing our digipak

Here are some behind the scenes photos of us creating our digipak. We thought that using a multi coloured background would be eye catchy to the audience. As well as this, we found through our research that some pop artists such as Katy Perry and Brittany Spears, had chosen to include a variety of bright colours in their digipak and this was effective because not only does it entice the audience, but it also captures a wondering eye as the colours are vibrant and bright.
This photo is a shot of Rosie playing around with the different filters on a website we had found called "iPiccy.com".

Whilst Rosie was working on the different filters of our background to our digipak, myself and Nicole were working on a prezi presentation on how magazine articles/posters are effective. Here we were currently in progress with analysing Florence and the Machine's "Lungs" album poster.

This is our final product for the outside (front and back) of our digipak. The front includes the bands name "Envie" taken from the french word which means desire. Underneath our band name we have titled the album 'Good Intentions' after our debut single. Furthermore, on the left hand side of the screen shows the tracklisting of our album alongside having all the copyright data and information at the bottom of the digipak; with a barcode and two logos.
